Beskrivelse
On January 17, 1983, things changed for the better for a severely socially anxious fifth-grader. She found someone to write secret letters to, letters that she never intended to send, all for the sake of surviving her loneliness. Living in a hopeful fantasy was the only thing keeping her going.
On November 27, 1986, a talented high school wrestler discovered the one way he could deal with the torment of perpetual emptiness. He had fallen into the destructive pit of bulimia, unable to get out. No one cared or knew his secret, except for a quiet observer, the shyest girl in the school. But, her inability to talk made it impossible to say anything.
Respectfully Yours, Hazel is a coming-of-age story of two students, each living in their own mental prisons, unknowingly helping each other.
