Beskrivelse

The last decade has witnessed a boom in educational technology, especially in higher education. Computer Assisted Language Teaching is still a niche field that encompasses new technologies and pedagogies. Despite a plethora of research in educational technology, there is a dearth of applied research in CALT. Hence, the objective of this edited book is to present empirical evidence of the effectiveness of CALT. The design of materials in this work is based on a perfect blend of technology and pedagogy. The research chapters reported in this volume are carried out with integrity and rigour. Although most of the research is carried out at the Crescent Institute of Science and Technology, some of the chapters reported here are conducted in collaboration with the University of Iowa, University of Melbourne and Nanyang Technological University.
