This selection of articles examines certain aspects of Giraudoux's work, drawing parallels with other works of his, such as Les Gracques and Suzanne et le Pacifique, with the dramas of Aristophanes, and with the work of Romain Rolland and other contemporaries. His famous drama La guerre de Troie n'aura pas lieu reflects humanity's hope for peace, aware that this ever-renewed Sisyphean hope succumbs to the hydra of war.
