Rescuing the Lawman

Attacked by stage coach robbers, Bethany Lancaster finds herself in the tiny town of Alsburgh. Fleeing from her brother and his tyrannical ways after her father's death, it is not where she wants to be.



Her brush with death is thwarted by the town's marshal, who introduces himself by dousing her with water.



Marshal Hunter Bancroft is focused on his work and keeping his town safe. He is not interested in courting women, and has no time for them anyway. Until the very frustrating Miss Bethany Lancaster comes along. She both intrigues and repels him, but he can't help but want to be near her.
