This session of the Regional Commission for Fisheries, attended by five members and six invited organizations, acknowledged the importance of having an instrument for the protection of the marine environment, added two species to the priority list, agreed to work on harmonizing data submitted by different countries, and decided to proceed with the standard FAO aquaculture data questionnnaires for use at national and regional levels.
