Remembering Mark Selbee

Throughout history there have been great men, men whose names and deeds have been remembered for generations after they have passed. These men, and their names, became legendary over time, mythic, god-like. Mark Selbee was one of those men for us. He was our Adonis, our Ajax, and our Achilles, all rolled into one: our most handsome, charismatic and beloved leader, and our most powerful, respected and feared warrior. Mark was a true hero. He was larger than life. And, he lives on, inside all those who knew and loved him. Especially it is true, that he continues to live on through his three children, that he lives on in you Easton, and Ellie Brooke, and Hudson. You are blessed with his strength, beauty, passion, joy, and love for life, and as Mark's family, you will get to carry on his legacy and enjoy his strength. Although it is natural to feel loss and pain when someone we love crosses back over, or goes home to God, it is also true that you are blessed and fortunate to have such an amazing father and mother. And because of their love for you, and their love for all of us, we have created this book as a small token, a testament of just a few of our memories of who your father was, and who he still is. For, it is true, that he lives in all of us, and as long as we keep his legacy and memory alive, and have hope and happiness in our hearts, there is no death, no end, only change, and new beginnings. These are the stories of our past, our history, so that we can honor the mystery of our future and the gift of our present.
