Joe A. Swisher is a West Virginia graduate who is also a retired U.S. government scientist. He has conducted studies on U.S. Army equipment both in the U.S. and overseas. Swisher has participated in many civic organizations, wrote several local history books, and hosted many local area history shows for his local county TV station.
