After a series of small victories in the liberation of women, Elizabeth takes up the mantle of Constable in Fraung, seemingly under the new law of equality. She soon finds her position is one of humor in the village with the newly elected Magistrate constantly scrutinizing her every move. When a new wave of orchastrated murders draws attention to itself, Elizabeth herself becomes a suspect. Moving into hiding, she uses her ability of disguise to move about and investigate the murders while rallying another wave of protests and movement for women. With new relationships blossoming, she returns home to a new ally and fresh possibilities.
