When beginning the process of writing his first novel, Adam Peterson set out to create something epic in scope, yet personal in nature. He describes the end result as "a map of my consciousness," a novel that feels more like a spiritual quest than any sort of traditional narrative. The story spans from 1996 to 2064, jumping between four different narrators and taking the reader to worlds both familiar and undiscovered. It is simultaneously a grand romance, a coming-of-age story and a fantastical journey. By traveling deep within his own mind to answer difficult questions about himself and the world, Peterson takes readers along for the ride and may even provide them with some answers of their own.
