For Jonny, life is about avoiding homework, building the perfect card deck, and provoking the school bully. That all changes when his best friend is dragged away right before his eyes. Unsure of who to trust, Jonny must uncover the awful truth before he suffers the same fate.
Alinta is a hacker. Well, she's trying to be. But the net has gone down, leaving her--and the city of Layman Creek--cut off from the world. Her investigation leads to Rebyrth, a secretive tech company. She has something they want. And they have her mamma.
