Akeenah's life is turned upside down when she and her mum have to escape from their house after hearing the thudding sound of the Steel Donkey outside. She doesn't want to leave Elverton to go to Uncle Joseph's, but it might be the only way to stop the scary creature coming to their house every night. Unless Akeenah can work out how to defeat the Steel Donkey once and for all....
