Purple Flowers and Butterflies

Martha is an Irish mother of a certain age; a single parent, she dreads that one day she might wake up with a penchant for Daniel O'Donnell and Marks & Spencer's knickers. As her daughter's wedding approaches, Martha is forced to confront the past in a way she never expected as she comes face to face with one of her ex-husband's old lovers. A surprise arrival at the wedding takes Martha's thoughts back to a time she thought she had left behind, and so she leaves the reception and walks to the top of Bray Head to carry out some soul searching; finally admitting to herself that perhaps the past was not all she thought it had been. Martha's future was all mapped out; then along came a stranger, and things were never the same again.
