Regardless of what conventional medicine has accomplished and understood so far by means of clinical studies, this essay, through its holistic approach, takes into account several methodologies - including herbalism, homeopathy, hypnosis, relaxation and meditation techniques along with many others - that can be used either as stand-alone or as complementary therapies to help the victims find different ways to approach this disorder, have a better and healthier lifestyle and, hopefully, work towards a full recovery and, whenever possible, even prevention.
