Marcus Ballard is a teacher in the small town of Elmdale, Alabama with the unenviable task of having the most rebellious student in his class. It looks like it will be a miserable year, but things change for the better when he meets the young man's vivacious mother about her son's erratic behavior and sparks fly.Unfortunately, Marcus soon discovers those sparks are igniting in the powder keg of his life. A torrid affair now comes complete with scrutiny from colleagues, a damaged woman who resists love, and a demented psycho who wants to see his world burn.He may be the teacher, but he's about to get schooled.
