James Scotts best-known compositions include Climax Rag, Frog Legs Rag and The Ragtime Oriole but most of all Prosperity Rag highlights his light hearted upbeat approach to composing. Along with Scott Joplin and Joseph Lamb, James Scott is considered one of the three great classical ragtime composers.
