These two prophets were renowned for great demonstrations of the Power of God, in signs and wonders. Elisha was Elijah's servant; and when Elijah was caught up to Heaven, Elisha replaced him and continued with his ministry, having received the double portion of Elijah's spirit (or the anointing upon Elijah). Elijah was greatly against the departure of the Israelites from the True God to the worship of idols. Elijah was not introduced with a great and big title; but we know that he accomplished great things for God; and at the end he was caught up alive to Above Elisha himself was an ordinary farmer, who was called by God and used to do great exploits for the Almighty.
