Beskrivelse
This text offers a study of the effects of anisotropy and nonuniformity of cosmic media on the polarization and propagation of stellar and nebular radiation. The physical processes of propagation and polarization of radiation are considered in detail, and a general theory is presented for cases of circumstellar and interstellar media, and stellar atmospheres. Attention is paid to cosmic plasma in strong magnetic fields and gaseous-dust cosmic media, as anistopy of such media determined many important effects of propagation and polarization of radiation. Processes of orientation of cosmic dust grains and their consequences are considered, and many cases of polarization of proper stellar radiation are analzyed.
