IT projects are considered as more complex and less predictable than other types of projects such as engineering and construction. These projects often exceed their proposed budgets and/or schedules and do not always fulfill their objectives. Today, the ability of a company to use its technology know-how usually brings a competitive advantage and it is an important topic in general strategy. Companies try to present new products in the shortest available time with the best quality in order to compete in their markets. As a result, the importance given to the management of product development projects is rapidly growing. The major aim of this book is to analyze project success criteria in order to identify the project success understanding, and to identify the project management success factors and their influence on project performance in IT sector, based on research results.
