Bhabotosh Chakraborty, a respected man in his community, is thrilled as he arranges the marriage of his son, Swaraj, to Racy, a beautiful woman from Bangladesh. The wedding is grand, uniting two families across borders, a symbol of peace between India and Bangladesh. However, beneath the surface of celebration lies a brewing tension. Swaraj and Racy, despite their outward smiles, feel the pressure of family expectations and national differences.
As the couple tries to adjust to their new life, political tensions between the two countries arise. The conflict begins with minor disagreements over cross-border travel, but soon escalates into full-fledged diplomatic challenges. Racy, who has family in Bangladesh, finds it increasingly difficult to visit them, causing strain in her relationship with Swaraj.
Their son, Karom, born into this cross-national conflict, becomes the unintended victim of political red tape. The couple struggles to obtain proper documentation for him, as both countries refuse to recognize him as a citizen. The pressure mounts, leading to daily arguments that push their relationship toward divorce.
