It was just another quiet night in her tiny town when Ember McNair got word that the local security guard at the art museum had been knocked out.

A priceless painting had been stolen.

gainst her better judgment, Ember promised her beau, Cedric, that she would respect his position as sheriff and stay out of the investigation.

But then the painting showed up. Along with a dead body!

Turns out the painting is known to be a *cursed* painting. And someone looked to have stolen it and placed it in the home of the murder victim.

Ember knew at that moment that she was needed. Teamed up with Kali (her feline familiar), Sage (her ditzy-witch best friend), and an ancestral ghost, Ember could crack this case before the murderer strikes again.
