Princess of the Sun

Sometimes terrible things happen to good people, and sometimes good things happen to terrible people. This story is both of those things. Princess of the Sun is a love story that transcends the biological limitations the universe imposes upon us. It is a story without prejudice, which is to say it cares nothing about good or evil. Life just is, and that is enough. Princess of the Sun is a fairy story for adults and children too, but only if you are brave enough to read it at bedtimes. It begins in familiar ways: a lost pet followed by a lost child, you know the story, and yet it really is not that story... It begins in Europe, far away in Austria and back just a few years in Time, the 1930s in fact. Eight-year-old Erika's cat is missing, and suspecting it stolen, she searches for her feline friend only to find herself spirited from her place in Space and Time to Kentucky and the NOW as a changed thing. She has become a fairy, a changeling, and her cat, Sebastian Tickles, still a cat, but now the most dreaded enemy of fairies everywhere. Hold on to your seat, don't bite your nails, and follow the adventures of little changeling Erika, fairy of Appalachia, Princess of the Sun, as she thwarts murder, monsters, and marriage to find her true place in her new world.
