This is the first book designed to help primary care providers deliver more effective and better integrated health care to women. Over 60 contributors in internal medicine, ob/gyn, surgery, and psychiatry present clinically relevant information on diseases and disorders that are unique to, more prevalent in, or present differently in women. More general topics affecting women's health are also addressed, including prevention, health care access, communication styles, and cultural and racial issues.
