Beskrivelse
The fall waterfowl migration has brought something deadly to a small North Dakota town.
Dr. Emily Hayes, a single mom and dedicated veterinarian, finds herself thrust into a nightmare. Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza, carried by the fall migratory birds through North Dakota, has mutated. It's become zoonotic, transmissible to people. This insidious disease not only infects birds but also triggers violent aggression in them, posing a graver threat to humanity.
Just as the community teeters on the brink of this Hitchcockian catastrophe, an unexpected figure from Emily's past reemerges: Dr. Jack Connor. With hopes of tracing the origins of the infection, dubbed H5N1 2.0 or Mad Crow, they are thrust into a world where science meets horror.
While the zoonotic infection spirals out of control, Emily and Jack must set aside their differences and confront the long-buried secrets that have kept them apart. Only by doing so can they hope to find a way out of this harrowing biological nightmare.
A murder of crows takes on a sinister new meaning in this disturbingly authentic thriller.
