Presence and use of heterocycles for therapeutic purposes

Approximately two-thirds of chemistry publications deal in some way with heterocycles, due to their structural diversity. Their innumerable properties and virtues. A very large number of substances and natural or synthetic drugs are in fact heterocycles.Many heterocyclic compounds are used in agriculture as insecticides, fungicides, herbicides, pesticides, etc. They are also used as sensitizers to the environment. They also have applications as sensitizers, developers, antioxidants, copolymers, etc. They are used as vehicles in the synthesis of other organic compounds.Most pharmaceutical products are based on heterocycles, and among the various clinical applications, heterocyclic compounds have a considerable active role as antibacterial, antiviral, antifungal, anti-inflammatory and anti-tumor drugs.
