Beskrivelse
HIV infection is currently considered incurable, although there are antiretroviral drugs that are able to contain the infection. In developed countries, those infected can lead a completely normal life, like a chronically ill person, without developing AIDS thanks to treatment. However, in other parts of the world, where these drugs are not available, those infected develop AIDS and die within a few years of being diagnosed. A training course for pregnant women living with HIV and the results of the educational intervention are published in this book.
