The disciples came to the Lord one day telling him about how John the Baptist had taught his disciples how to pray, they then asked the lord to teach them also. Prayer is a fundamental right of the believer. It is something needed and important for our fellowship with our heavenly Father. What better way to pray than by lifting up God's word to him in prayer.
