The International Symposium on Practical Aspects of Declarative Languages (PADL)focusesonpracticalapplicationsofdeclarativelanguages. Thecollection ofpapersinthisvolumewaspresentedatPADL2001. Thesymposiumwasheld inLasVegas,Nevada,March11-12,2001. Fortypapersweresubmittedinresponsetothecallforpapers. Twenty-three paperswere?nallyselectedforpresentationatthesymposium.
