A Public Private Partnership (PPP) is an arrangement involving both the public and private sectors in the provision of facilities and/or services for which a public sector organisation maintains accountability. It is a growing area and is undergoing rapid development internationally. The Public Finance Initiative (PFI) is a method of funding long term contracts for services and may include the provision of facilities and infrastructure - it is one example of PPP. In this Handbook, John Kelly provides a best practice approach to the management of PPP/PFI projects - he presents in a logically structured fashion, a well indexed procedural guide for those who have dealings, in any capacity, with PPP/PFI projects.
