June 1940...Nazi troops march toward Paris. Hidden between France and Spain, the tiny country of Pavalonia is a center for intrigue, espionage, treason, and assassination. Enter 21st-century twins Jill Mason Goodwin and Joanna Mason McGregor who, while on a honeymoon visit to Pavalonia with their husbands, travel to 1940 and are arrested as spies. Meanwhile, the twins' husbands are recruited by a suspected-Nazi agent to transport three packages across the country with the Pavalonian police in hot pursuit. Fistfights, car chases, and explosions follow as the twins navigate Pavalonia's dangerous politics and rocky landscape to protect an old friend from a killer in three different eras.
