Feathers introduces the earliest readers to unique bird feather textures, colors, and patterns while providing them with a supportive first nonfiction reading experience. High-frequency words, repetitive sentence patterns, photo labels, and strong visual references support emergent readers, making sure they aren't facing too many challenges at once.
