Beskrivelse
Dan, a nervous, talkative passenger engages Bill, a seasoned business traveler on a plane trip. The conversation turns to spiritual matters when Bill casually observes he saw Dan pray before his meal. Bill expresses his skepticism about God's involvement in the everyday affairs of life-at the very moment the captain announces an engine failure Suddenly Bill becomes panic stricken, and all his poised confidence gives way to desperate (and comical) pleas for God to help. When the captain announces the crisis has passed and they will be landing soon, Bill goes back to his "got-it-all-together" facade, as if nothing has happened. The saying "there are no atheists in foxholes" finds an amusing, contemporary counterpart in this sketch.Topics: GOD'S PRESENCE, FAITH, GOD'S FEELINGSCharacters: 2 MALES, 1 (NARRATOR) PILOTParticipants: 3Author: Judson Poling
