Beskrivelse
Peter's Story follows a five year battle with T Cell Leukaemia (also spelt Leukemia) and Graft V Host Disease.
Peter trained as a Chef with the RAF, he assisted at Chequers, and went on to work in Bermuda at Tuckers Point before returning to the UK.
At the age of 27 Peter was diagnosed with Leukaemia. He received a bone marrow transplant from his sister Sarah. And would then go on to fight through every single issue that sprang up over the next few years.
The story documents his feelings, his treatments, his condition and the many obstacles, mainly in his own words.
Most of this story consists of extracts from conversations that we, his family had with Peter over his five year battle, his words, his story! A bit like a diary I suppose. I know that not everything is grammatically correct, but I have kept his wording on purpose, because without Peter's words how would you hear Peter's voice and his story, it just wouldn't work!
My original plan had been for the story to be from the family point of view, but that would have been wrong. Peter's story had to come from Peter.
