Pestilence

What happens when everything you love is ripped away from you, causing you to go into solitude? When one man's isolation from the world makes him unaware that the world was decimated by a plague, find out how he reintroduces into society, if you could even call it that anymore.

"Darkness had fallen as I was sitting alone in my house, per usual, watching the world go by via my security system. Solar panels kept the house batteries fully charged; power was a luxury most didn't have. As I started to zone out, I was alerted to a breach in my perimeter.

A beautiful breach. As I watched through the night vision of the security cameras, I couldn't see that her dirty blonde hair flowed onto her sun-kissed skin or just how blue her eyes were, just that they felt as if they were seeing straight into my soul when she glanced at the camera.

Then I noticed the boy. Fate is a fickle mistress. The boy had no reason to trust me, nor I him, but there we were. What are you supposed to do when you're stuck between a rock and a hard place? The best you can do is have faith that it'll work out and you won't get dead."
