Austen's Persuasion is a novel about persuasion and how it can be used to affect the lives of individuals. The novel follows Anne Elliot, who was persuaded by her family to break off her engagement with Captain Wentworth eight years ago. Now that Anne is older and has had time to reflect on her decision, she realizes that she made a mistake and wants to find a way to reconnect with Wentworth.
