This book attempts to analyse the psychological aspects of international terrorism. Describing the nature and characteristics of international terrorism, it takes a close look at the events of terrorism in ancient kingdoms of Egypt, Rome, India, Persia and Greece. Presenting a detailed account of psychological processes functioning in terrorism, it offers an elaborate discussion on terrorism among religious groups, racial prejudice, ethnic riots and civil wars. Also, it deals with the terrorist activities in India, with special focus on Maoists, Naxalites, Ul-Umma and Pakistani terrorists. The global efforts to contain terrorism has been highlighted as well.
