Filling a gap in the literature, this source provides a solid foundation to practical perioperative fluid management, fluid solutions, and the utilization of fluids in clinical and surgical environments, and analyzes the composition of body compartments, the regulation of water and electrolytes, and bodily response to traumatic and surgical conditions.
