Beskrivelse
Entrepreneurs and investors face crucial decisions to positively influence the financing and exit success of digital start-ups. This book analyses the most significant performance drivers of digital ventures. The author assesses, first, the early-stage financing method, second, the choice of business focus and, third, the motives for syndication. In three studies, he thereby identifies the performance impact of practitioners' fundamental decisions on a broad empirical basis, thus integrating research from finance and entrepreneurship. He provides insights into the effects of experience and the added value of all common investor types, compares digital platforms to alternative technologies and examines the influence of investor syndicates.
