Penelope Penn's life isn't going so well. She hopes that the move to Asheville, Ohio the change she needs. One dark night she tries to help a rain-soaked puppy and stumbles over a dead body. Things aren't going as planned, when the Angel of Death shows up to reap the soul of the dead woman and realizes that Penelope can see him. Death is convinced that it's Penelope's job to help him solve the murder ... whether she wants to or not.
