Beskrivelse

When singer/songwriter Payne McCarty hears one of his songs on the radio, sung by country music sensation Rusti King, he realizes the song has been stolen. He and his best friend, Skeeter, a racehorse jockey with a capacious attitude, travel to Music Row looking for answers. Payne's first trip to Nashville lands him in the Davidson County jail, falsely accused of assaulting the unscrupulous publisher. Returning to Texas, Payne and Skeeter are faced with enough predicaments to keep their minds off Nashville. Skeeter pays brutal consequences after crossing the local drug dealer and racetrack bookie, but vows revenge. Their band, Nova Scotia, has been booked to play at Willie Nelson's Fourth of July Picnic, and after a fortuitous meeting, Payne and Rusti King fall in love. The story has a heart the size of Texas and enough fireworks to light up the Texas Hill County sky.
