Beskrivelse
In the U.S. approximately 12 million adults who seek outpatient medical care are misdiagnosed each year; this breaks down to 1 in 20 adults. Of those misdiagnosis mistakes roughly 6 million could cause harm and at times death.
Patients with conditions such as heart failure, pneumonia, depression, cancer and other health-related issues could have serious problems that remain unrecognized. Unfortunately, a youthful appeal can lead to delayed diagnosis, failure to diagnosis, lack of competent care; ultimately a misdiagnosis.
In his book entitled Misdiagnosis: Patient vs. Doctor, Retired Lt. Garry L. Jones teaches patients how to prevent delayed or misdiagnosis. After suffering years of recurring infections Jones eventually learned the root cause of his suffering - prostate cancer.
