The June 2017 Edition adds the text of pending legislation introduced during the first few months of the 115th Congress, including H.R. 1695, the "Register of Copyrights Selection and Accountability Act of 2017" (passed April 26, 2017 by a vote of 378-48), which would amend the Copyright Act to provide that the Register of Copyrights shall be appointed by the President (rather than by the Librarian of Congress) for a 10-year term, subject to reappointment.
