Beskrivelse
The Karlshorst park town in Berlin-Lichtenberg with over 1000 residential units and a striking urban structure represents a model project for high-quality housing construction with affordable rents. The master plan by Klaus Theo Brenner Stadtarchitektur and the realization in cooperation with the architects Eckert Negwer Suselbeek, Eingartner Khorrami and Stephan Hoehne show an urban model in the tradition of Berlin cooperative housing development, in terms of its concept and aims. The individual architectural appearance of each house and of the housing ensembles forms a harmonious and vibrant city district overall. The book considers its special qualities as an urban project, residential model and architectural ensemble, with many color illustrations and plans.
