Parent By Chance: A perpetual foot in the mouth situation

Being a parent is not apparent to a rookie. Fancy as it may seem, being a parent is nothing short of being on a roller coaster ride that rips you off your peaceful existence, punches you in the gut, sends your hair flying with the wind while you gasp for breath hanging upside down, waiting to for the torturous ride to come to an end. It messes with your looks, it transforms you into a yelling machine, it even makes you wonder, why you gave birth in the first place. But then, it gives you more reason to smile than any other thing in the world. And each time you bend over the forehead of your little angels while they are fast asleep, it is undoubtedly true love's kiss. Embracing parenthood is all about changing perspectives. When you look at your horror filled living room, rummaged by the little monsters you call flesh and blood, when your blood boils over a Dior lipstick used to sketch a stick man and when single malt is the only medicine that is capable of putting you to sleep after a non-stop diaper changing and poop smelling affair, take life with a pinch of salt. Look at your blunders of raising kids with a skewed lens of humour. Every incident looks like a foot in the mouth, for eternity. It leaves you with laughs that no comic movie can bring.
