Beskrivelse

The typical family rush before Chris's high school basketball game is interrupted when Doug, Chris's father, comes in the door from work. His wife Nancy tries to spur him on to eat and change quickly while his son Chris makes clear the importance of this game. None of it seems to have any affect on Doug, however, as he tells his family he can't muster the energy to go. After Nancy sends the kids off to the game in the other car, she confronts Doug about how he is letting down Chris by not going and how he is letting down Nancy by not fighting against his depression. "We can't keep living like this," she says. He understands her frustration and tries to give her insight into how he's feeling but admits he's "paralyzed" by it and that even his prayers don't seem to help.
