If every life is a tapestry, there are bound to be a few dropped stitches along the way.
So it is for Ella, Raynie, Jessie and Meg. Friends since the 1970s, they are in pursuit of lost threads in need of mending. But before they can find them, the women become caught up in a nest of knots that test their friendship.
In this warm and compelling sequel to Sunshine Girls, the four women may be twenty-eight years older but in some ways are none the wiser. Take Ella who, in an effort to repair an unravelling relationship with her daughter, needs to come clean with her about a long-held secret. Raynie, her own life fraying more every day feels compelled to revisit the decision she made years before. Then there's Meg who is quite happy in the safe world she has created for herself, while Jessie struggles to start a new life. Together Ella and Raynie-along with Ella's Aunt Ruby and Ruby's ex-biker boyfriend-travel to New York City and Nashville in pursuit of answers. They find some, but not necessarily the ones they were seeking.
In the end it doesn't matter. Every stitch in each woman's tapestry is ultimately revealed to be sewn together exactly as it should be. And the result is a beautifully tailored patchwork of friendship, experience and life....
