Pantasma Crater, Jinotega

Magnetic signatures are measurable alterations in the Earth's magnetic field. In this sense, this study was carried out in Pantasma in the city of Jinotega in the North of Nicaragua. It consisted of a series of systematic and ordered works to decipher the origins and formation of the Pantasma Crater based on geological, magnetic and stratigraphic data. The results of this work improve the tourist activity of the region, and consequently strengthen the social and economic development of this place. We thank the Technical Editor, Tupak Ernesto Obando Rivera, for his valuable contributions and observations to improve the quality of this document. This book is truly a text that comes to explain some of the morphological features found in Pantasma. It is recommended to use other methods of geophysics, be it gravimetry, geoseismic, and electrical methods to enrich the knowledge known until now, supported by modern geotechnical exploration techniques to improve the existing graphic model.
