All it takes is a quick glance at the magazine rack at your local grocery store to keep up with the latest fad diets. These days it seems like a new diet hits the shelves every week, always making lofty promises of weight loss and improved health.
¿Unfortunately, many of these diets are not based on a foundation of scientific truth and any results they produce fade quickly. While many diets are not worthy of your consideration, there is one that is - the paleo diet. Whether you want to lose weight, improve your digestion, or boost your overall health, this is the diet to try.
Some people know of the paleo diet as the caveman diet because it is based on the type of diet our Paleolithic Era ancestors followed. Though you don't have to hunt or scavenge for food, you do need to adhere to certain rules if you're going to follow the paleo diet. This diet excludes processed carbs and refined sugars as well as dairy products, grains, and legumes. It might sound a little restrictive at first but, once you get used to it, you'll be free from the negative health effects caused by the average Western diet and you'll be feeling better than you ever have before.
