Beskrivelse
Ozone therapy's history is closely linked to advances in medical science and technology. Although ozone has been used since the middle of the 19th century, serious research into its potential for medicinal application only began in the early 20th century. Notably, ozone was used to treat gangrene and infections in troops during World War I. This was the first time ozone was used as a medicinal remedy. The effects of ozone on cellular metabolism have been better understood over time by pioneers such as Dr. Otto Warburg, who was awarded a Nobel Prize for his research on cellular respiration.
