OVERCOMING THE STORMS OF LIFE

Life is full of storms. Many things happen that we cannot easily explain why: natural disaster, death of loved ones, loss of jobs, failure of crops, accidents, lack of success, etc. Naturally, storms are violent disturbances of the atmosphere, usually accompanied by rain, strong winds, thunder, lightning or snow. Approaching with high speed, storms often render their victims virtually helpless, leaving them with few or no options in terms of defense or counter attack. For this reason storms can leave behind a trail of destruction of life and properties of catastrophic magnitude.

Storms of life are those disastrous events that render the victim helpless and hopeless. The bitter truth is that at one point or the other, in the course of life, everyone will experience a storm or storms. Everyone faces the battles of life which shows that there is the possibility of an enemy somewhere that stirs the storms against mankind. Most times the enemy is often difficult to identify, it can come in the form of human opposition, criticism or antagonism, physical challenges and obstacles, natural occurrences which should naturally fade away with time, but metamorphosizes into serious problems, etc. It can also come through a human agent in the most subtle but wicked manner and it can also take the form of dramatic challenge. At the onset of every storm of life, it's spiritual dimension is not usually obvious. However the Bible teaches that there is a spiritual dimension to every storm of life.

The author was motivated to write this book by the series of storms which he has experienced from conception and how God delivered him from them all. He cited examples of those who passed through storms in the bible and how they trusted the Almighty God for their victory. He also showed Jesus Christ as the greatest example of all. After reading the book, one will certainly be convinced that God has always fulfilled His promise to be with us everywhere we may be and be convinced that our hope should we always be placed on Him, storms or no storms. Jesus Christ is the greatest Stiller of Storms.
