Overcomers life

The new birth is a change in nature, a transformation; it is not just a change of mind or a change of opinion. Many may have imagined that it is switching lifestyles - some use terms like, 'try Jesus and see what will happen in your life as though Christ is a momentary pill that may or may not work or a jacket that can be tossed on and off at whim. The trouble here is that the emphasis is on the temporal; a person is not encouraged to look at the new birth in light of eternity but rather the 'here-and-now. An individual with such a mindset will soon find out that their relationship with the Father will be inconsistent and yield little to no fruit.
